Well, AppleScript support got a lot better in 2004, so the
possibility exists of automating in that fashion.
I think the bigger deal is that automation solutions utilizing VBA
written on either platform (currently) will cease to function, and
there will be no way to create a single automation solution for both
Windows and Mac versions. So in order to automate Office for any
sort of word processing/spreadsheet/presentation workflow you will
have to be using a Windows PC.
