Does the version of SQLite used in Rb 2006 r3 support the SQL
keyword EXISTS?
I'm certain it does
for eg...
drop table if exists UserGroup;
Hmmm. Is there some something like
INSERT INTO Table1 (1, 'foo') IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT * FROM Table1
WHERE Table1.keyField=1)
available?
Not that I know of
You can probably restructure it as a select
INSERT INTO Table1 (SELECT 1,'foo' FROM Table1 WHERE not exists
( select * from tbale1 where Table1.keyField=1) )
You may need to insert column names in the inset into clause
