In the system-window I click on 'Preview', and while the system is loading the various pages I click the Cancel button. My application aborts.

Is there a way to trap such userCancelled event?

What do you mean your application aborts? Do you get a NilObjectException message and warning that the application must shut down, or do you get a crash with CrashReporter appearing?

If the first, then you need to check for Nil before drawing to the Graphics object and you should do this for each page in the print. Because of REALbasic references, the Graphics object should not go *poof* in the middle of a page, and if it does then this should be a bug.
