The window is not updated after a drag and drop when the stand-alone application is background

REALbasic 2006 Release 4
Mac OS x 10.4.8

The application:
One window with a large EditField who is able to receive drag and drop text files (this works fine).
That project have been created using REALbasic 5.5 (or lower, who remembers ?)

a. In the IDE, run the project:
b. Click in the Finder (and be sure to see the top left part of the window application)
c. Drop a text file in the background window (application)
d. The new file is displayed as expected.

Run the stand-alone application, and do the above steps from b; the d step does not behave the same:

the newly dropped file is not displayed at all until you activate the
application.

I saw a bug report on that very same subject yesterday and that was the reason why I generate a brand new master (after a check on the feature in the IDE); a shame (after a hope, go figure my state of mind yesterday evening).

What must I do ?
[is there a solution from the REALbasic developer side ?]

ALSO:
-----

The previous compilation (not with RB 5.5.5) generate an application whose size is 1.7MB (1,822,264Bytes; created on April 11, 2006) where the one I just created with REALbasic 2006 Release 4 have a brand new size: 3.6MB (3,819,268Bytes).
And I do not have changed the target kind (no UB compilation)

More than a 100% increase!
[OK, I have a 80GB hard disk or 512MB of installed RAM, but it is not a reason to waste :)]

Cheers,

Emile

AT LAST:
--------

When a REALbasic application is frontmost (not the target), the update is done. Do you believe it ?
