It should work fine. Linux distros aren't exactly disparate operating systems, but rather different approaches to certain aspects of the same model. Typically user management and software packaging are biggies. If you have any trouble I'm sure a little googling will solve it.

Are you using the latest version (6.10) with Parallels? I ask because that
version is not included on their list of supported OS's.
