The support of Cocoa by RB, only means we will have native controls on Mac OS created by RB?

Carbon is as much Native as Cocoa is. Cocoa is just higher level framework (kind of like .NET on Windows).

With that said then higher level frameworks are usually slower. But you (or the C programmer) usually has to program less to accomplish the same task.

To me then Cocoa is no magic bullet, yes some things are better in it (like the Edit field), but you also get other sets of problems.

Users who think that apps are more native when they are in Cocoa are very far off. People should ask them self which Apple Apps are actually Cocoa. (I think many of you here would be very surprised to see that many off them are not Cocoa, and they are not any less native to MacOS X because of it).

Personally to me then I would rather want the Carbon implementation be made native MacOS X. (What I mean by that is to Phase the QuickDraw out for example). REALbasic drawing is very slow because of mixing QuickDraw and Quartz where QuickDraw is in primary role.

I agree that REALbasic needs to support much MacOS X better, but in my mind then the root of the problem is that things are simply not done right, for example Localization is apparently implanted without knowing how MacOS X localization should work where for example secondary languages don't work, which is something you get for free from the OS, QuickDraw and Quartz are getting mixed, etc. How can you expect a app to feel "native" if things are not done the way they are supposed to be done in MacOS X ?. To me then this is the question, rather than wanting to think of Cocoa as some sort of Magic bullet.
