I tracked it down to my control bindings getting *REALLY* fouled up
when I transitioned to the version control format from a monolithic
project file.

Check the type of your window; make sure it is really a Window and
not,
say, a ContainerControl.
Check that you don't have any code in your window's Constructor (or if
you do, try deleting it out to see if the problem goes away).
Then start deleting controls, one by one, until you find the problem.
Then focus on that control, and keep narrowing it down until you reach
enlightenment.
