Hi Emile,
Every time I start a new project (so all menus are in english), I
just type "Édition" and all is fine, both in MacOS X and Win32
(always compiling from MacOS X).

Hi Steve (others),
did you try to put Édition (the first letter is an uppercase E with
an acute accent: just in case my accent is lost in the internet
ether) ?
If so, I do not understand your answer, if not, please first try,
then give naswer.
OF COURSE, I do not intended to use an html tag as the first letter
of a menu :(
Sorry for the semi-rant :)
Cheers,
Emile

Place the Édition as the Edit Menu text and you get an

Why don't you just write "=C9dition" instead of "Édition"?
Steve
That is what I tried! (not =C9, but the E letter with an accent)
