Have you tried AEMonitor?

It is really great: it grabs AppleEvent sent to/from any applications and can even convert them to RB code.

Is anyone out there an expert at formatting appleevents in RB, and wouldn't mind lending a hand on a trivial applescript to rb- appleevent conversion for about 5 minutes?

Time to toot my own horn. :) Download AE Monitor here:

It will take (almost) any Apple Event and create the appropriate RB code to reproduce the event from your application. This also happens to be a good way to start learning about Apple Events. The full- feature demo version works for 30 days, which should convince you to purchase it. :)

Good luck!
