Hi,

being a more quiet character on this list but present for a couple of years now (with different accounts), I am very sad about REALs decision; I have never visited the forums and I do not plan to do so - as I simply do not have the time. (I have my emailer download all messages and read and answer them on the train and on the airplane...no way to access a forum...)

In response to Joes message: I could also provide hosting of a new mailing list:

1. Does your server have the capacity to handle lists this large and
...yes...

2. Do you have a REALbasic-related domain name, or the ability to use
one if we decide to register a new one (e.g. realbasic-fans.org)?

...yes (basic-central.de)...and yes...

3. How long has your server been around, and more to the point, how
likely is it to stick around for many years to come?

...since 1992...and yes...

4. Will your proposed mailing list be able to run without ads, or
requiring membership on Yahoo/Google/etc.?

...yes...

That's all I can think of at the moment... thanks again to all who are
showing such a helpful, supportive attitude!

...let me know if I can help; I'll be in Sao Paolo this week and San Francisco end of next week...inbetween I could set up the list if needed...
