We did. They suck.

In addition to consolidating information, we have also had some
issues on other
mailing lists where vacation messages were auto-responding hundreds
of times to the list overnight. Not only did we receive complaints
about this, but we were also temporarily marked as a spammer, causing
some people to not receive messages from us. These messages included
lists messages and other emails we were sending - license keys, etc.
Hardly a common occurrence. A weak attempt to backfill a lousy
decision with a phony rationale.
