Huh? How does comparing the contents of one folder with another's
yield any significant code differences? If you're talking about
comparing a folder's worth of files containing the exported code, what
application on the Mac does that?

Yes, properties are missing. I do okay without that.

And it does a very nice job. But the source code export in older
versions is more to my liking. It works for me. I'd like to see it
restored.
