OK, let me reformulate the question:

what is the technology behind HTMLViewer (on all supported platforms) ?

So I will get some more informations from there.

NOTA: drag and drop is supported (Mac OS X for example): you can drag 'n' drop 
an image from your REALbasic application window (using HTMLViewer) to a folder 
on the desktop.

But the documentation is scarse | too thin since that Control is very PowerFull.

Another question can be: How do I handle a user who click in a "download text 
link" ?
[a link that download an object on a web browser]
