The CellBackgroundPaint event gets called separately for each and every visible cell in the listbox. In the CellBackbroundPaint event use the Row and Column parameters that are passed in to determine what color to draw for that particular cell. It's up to you to determine the appropriate color. You might consider storing the color in the CellTag property of that cell.
