RB's ListBox goes further then the VB ListBox somewhat because RB
doesn't have a native Grid control. RB's ListBox IS their Grid
control, whereas in VB the ListBox is more simple. You could use the
VB Grid control, although that has it's own limits.

Go to www.vbaccelerator.com and you'll see plenty of goodies there.
Specifically, see the SGrid. I use that for all harder-core ListBox
duties. Sure, it's a Grid, but that's sort of what you want. The
SGrid is quite powerful - it reminds me of the RB ListBox.

Still, creation of DLL's, whether they be C++-style DLL's or ActiveX
controls would be an extremely welcome addition to RB. It wouldn't
matter what style of strings it would be in, you can simply "wrapper"
the calls up.

Yes, simply put your minimum or maximum values in the Form_Resize event.

Besides the ability to inherit objects, VB runs circles around RB in
speed, ability, and simplicity. I use VB5 still with tons of
enthusiasm. Although I don't expect RB to be as capable as VB, I do
expect RB to be as reliable as VB, which it isn't. Who could ever
think of using a 6 year old copy of RB? One wishes for the day when a
version of RB would come out that had "nothing wrong with it", and
then future versions would simply 'add" to it. Although I think RB
5.5 was maybe that way, but who can resist the uch nicer IDE that RB2006+ has?
