continuing with the development I have imagine that maybe the problems
I am experiencing with the following line

soundComponentInstance = OpenDefaultComponent("spit","snd ")

in a windows app is due to the theory that the component spit or
subcomponent SND does not exist in windows or is not registered just
by calling a quicktime function from the API. The API does not do this
by telling it to run a function so the function never gets to pick up
on the unrecognized not registered object.

If this is not a problem then the other place to look at is the moving
of blocks of memory from and to memory handles by the Quicktime API
calls. To diagnose this better I need the log file i have been asking
sometime ago.

any thoughts?
