That assumes that you want to do all the work only at run time.
Granted in development you might alter a db design many times but why  
incur the runtime overhead of deriving all this all the time ?

Doing it at run time is one approach.

Or, like EOF and EOModeller you generate the required code from the  
db design and then you have no over head of deriving relationships,  
etc at run time.
They can be coded right in to the various classes that are generated.
I've already helped build such a thing that cranks out RB code that  
you just drag in to your project and use.

Just a thought.
