What you describe certainly seems like a bug, if you're *positive* that the German date settings on your system really are "dd.mm.yy" and not "dd.mm.yyyy". Of course, since ParseDate just calls through to the OS, it's possible that this is Apple's bug... but clearly either it's somebody's bug, or the German system date format wasn't what you think it was.
