It shouldn't work with your format in any version, as I'm not using the
system separator, I'm accepting any separator from four (-./ and space)
I had not thought of semicolons but I will add them and commas and the
system separator.

I was deliberately ignoring the system separator in an attempt to be
liberal in what I accept, but there's no reason not to add it to the list.

I'd certainly be interested to see what changes you've made, either on- or
off-list.
