But of course you care about loading, so this does you no good. (I also don't know whether this supports the mask -- unlike loading -- or how to tell if GDI+ is installed.) If RS would build in nice cross-platform support for loading and saving PNGs with masks, regardless of what is or isn't installed, most of my apps would become plugin-free. (Side benefit to RS: it would be easier for me to report bugs.)
