That is interesting, thank you.  (And I have the utmost respect for
Guido van Rossum's insights on computing.)

easily create command-line apps, tuck them away in our bundle or
application folder, invoke them via the Shell class, and communicate
with them efficiently via IPCSockets.

Somebody should present a demo of using this technique to compute
Mandlebrot sets or some such.
