As said earlier, a sheet window is modal. Have you ever seen a sheet
window without a push button?

You're confusing two different questions.
I'm not saying that the push button to close the window should not be
there. It is and I have claimed that it is.
I am saying that the red close button on the title bar should _also_
be there.
(And it has already been shown that it is not a good idea to use Apple
applications as examples of following their own UI guidelines...)
