QString sounds like some Qt class. REALbasic uses GTK, so adding a declare to QString, or whatever functions that you require from it, would require the Qt widget toolkit. I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but perhaps there's another solution?

Is there any preferred way to convert a QString to a REALstring to preserve all encodings and get it to work with Unicode ?

I am assuming since some KDE calls use QString that QString is all right to use in REALbasic apps without adding to some Linux requirements ?

And finally does anyone know what I should be linking in to use the QString ? (like for example: -lgtk-x11-2.0)
(sorry Linux is not my strong side)

Thanks
