Thank you to everyone who has checked out the video on their machines. In
the time that I sent this question and the time it got posted (about 10 days
. . .is that normal?) we upgraded our Real Server software to the beta 6.1
version, and that has seemed to solve the problem!
Thanks again,

Subject: video stalling
Has anyone else experienced videos stalling when using the G2 player? The
problem we are encountering is as follows:
Playing a SureStream encoded file - video freezes after about 50 seconds
although audio continues to play. Problem only occurs when streaming file
from server (no problem if played locally). Changing allowed bandwidth
settings from within G2 player does not make a difference. Playing 5.0
content is fine. Problem seen in versions 6.0.3.128, 6.0.6.33, 6.0.6.45,
6.0.6.45.

It should have been encoded G2 SureStream at T1 max quality
Video freezes at around 45 seconds or so (varies from one play to the next)
while audio continues.
Also, once it stalls, you can drag the controller back a few seconds and it
sometimes make it past the previous stall point before stalling again.
I have noticed the problem on both Mac and PC RealPlayer G2 (the free one).
Any suggestions? Is this a known bug with the current versions of G2 player?
If anyone can view this video without the image stalling could you let me
know what player version you are using, as well as your connection speed.
Does anyone out there have an archive of the older versions of the player?
[ Moderator's Note: The RealPlayer Update 3, released yesterday, should
hopefully address this problem. ]
Thanks!
