We do live mobile webcast on a regular basis.
What we do is simply connecting the encoder workstation (1 or 2) in one end
with a live-feed, etc. OB, VCR or just a single camera, and the other end to
a router witch is conected to a dual ISDN (euro128KB).
on this setup we have livecasted a 22kbs and a 56 kbs signal without
problem.
the cellular way does not provide enoug bandwith and the satelite is an
expensive workaround.
we have investigated the posibilities of webcasting from a moving location,
in this case a train, but the cellular method drops connectoin when moving
from one gsm-net to another.

I just wanted to see if any folks had much experience with live mobile
broadcasts - while the uplink is moving.
If anyone has any recommendations on cellular vs. satellite etc... I'd
be very interested.
Some of the areas will be very rural.
Comments? Thoughts? Or should we tell our client to give up?
