We (Native American Public Telecommunications) are making the switch to a
Linux and G2 encoder...the encoder and server have already been done
successfully by the DEAL Lab at UNL (who have graciously allowed us to use
their server since we are both part of UNL), but they are still testing
it...but what they have found is that G2 doesn't work well with RH6, but
works great with RH5.2....after we (Native American Public Telecom) get our
Linux encoder set up with a little help from DEAL.....I'll send in a
response with whatever tips I come across...although it probably won't be
until september...meanwhile I'll cc the guys at DEAL and see if they can't
help you out...
