Subject: Embedded player crashes IE/Netscape
We are having problems getting embedded RealPlayer G2 content to work
correctly.
As it stands, the plug-in crashes IE 5 (on Windows 95) and Netscape 4.5 (on
NT 4.0 Sp5). Other platforms seem unaffected.
The message in IE is along the lines that the application executed an
illegal instruction in MEMF3260.DLL, the instruction being "mov dword ptr
[exc],eax" at address 0x628f1558 an memory address 0x615a0000
Then IE reports "There was an internal error"
In netscape (on NT) the message is;
The instruction at "0x628f1558) referenced memory at "0x61550000"
The memory could not be "written"
And netscape quits.
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this matter - is it a bug?
BTW, We are using the <EMBED> tag rather than the <OBJECT> tag for IE
support since this would crash IE on NT 4 Sp5.
Kind Regards,
Aaron
