Subject: Sampling Rate

I have been looking at recording and playing audio on my old sound card in
tandem... Unfortunatly the SB16 only supports this when bother occurr at the
same sampling rate.

I discovered (with some experimentation) that Windows Media Encoder uses the
sampling rate 44.1khz and the codec must downsample the data... This seems
(to me) the best way of capuring audio.

Real Producer on the other hand captures the audio at the level it will be
transmitted at - ie 28.8 stream is approx 11khz? Anyway this means I have to
play the file at 11khz and in short everything sounds pretty crap : ). Is
there a way to make Producer capture audio at a higher sampling rate? Should
Real make it capture at 44khz as standard?

Comments and queries are highly sought after : )

Best Reguards,
LiFe.
