Subject: [GOODTIMES] Live event streaming help..
Hello all,
I'm seeking any and all information on live streaming an
event that runs N days long... [ video crew tailing a cast of
performers from club to club.] I'm well familiar w/ Real Producer
Plus and the server works for on-demand content but know very little
about doing a live event. Can any one help direct me towards some
cost numbers for producing such a thing in the field - often
connecting to ISP/Server via cell phone/ Infra Red/ or Airport
(?)..... [ We already have the input source, Canon XL1. All else
will need to work away from base office.] Yes Macintosh
solutions are preferred, but am well aware of Mac's streaming
limitations, so PC based solutions will also help.
So if anyone in the area has any ideas or concepts both tried/true or
conceptual, I'd appreciate hearing them... Bleeding edge technologies
can be an option, if I like 'em... ;)
