If you wanna go from CD to RealAudio, you oughta check out the RealJukebox.
It's quick and it'll save you a step.

Subject: encoding questions

relatively new to realmedia and have a (hopefully quick) question

- grab a track from cd using peak 2.0
- save it as realaudio 5.0, 32kbs stereo, using the peak sample rate
converter, set to voice and music

what i get, when compared to the realaudio version that mp3.com has up
of the same tune, has MUCH lower levels, and is generally muddier.

any tips for encoding / pre-processing before encoding? this is mastered
material that sounds great from cd, but is losing a LOT of punch when
encoded - and i know it's possible for it to sound better based on the
mp3.com instant play version.

any help would be appreciated

-d
