Subject: Problems with 200+ Kbps streams in Win98
I am trying to stream on a private LAN (lab) a SureStream file that
includes 200Kbps from a Win98 G2 Real Server (Version 6). The server
machine is a Pentium 400 Mhz with 128 MB RAM, the client is a Win98
Pentium 200Mhz with 96 MB RAM. For some reason the player can only
receive about 150 Kbps and the stream fails to play correctly. If I
lower the bandwidth it works well.
Are there any special parameters on Win98 TCP/IP that need to be changed
? I increased the "bandwidth" paremeter in the server admin screen to
512 Kbps.
Is this a limitation of Win98, the server, the client ?
Thanks,
