Jeff,
"Z" order is set when the window is constructed and can't be changed. You
can achieve the effect I think that you are looking for by using a Flash
interface in the RealPlayer.

Can SMIL handle any type of onclick statements or mouseovers?
What about when a link is clicked, can the z order of a region be placed
"on top" without messing up the stream playing??
