For rexviewer, some questions:

1. Has the viewer been updated or changed considerably since Dec 2nd? If
    so, and it is possible to create binaries every so often that the 
update is
   "significant", that would really help. I compile opensim and modrex 
but not
   the viewer

2. Is it possible to set all objects to cast shadows without having to 
manually
    set each prim's attributes? This is especially useful in viewing 
content that others
    have created. It would seem that whether something casts a shadow 
should be
    a viewer feature rather than an object attribute

3. In Preferences -> Graphics -> Draw Distance, changing this seems to 
have no
    effect at least in modrex, and further away objects are seen in a 
blue shale fog. Is
    there another setting needed to make draw distance work?
