Thanks for Gustavo, it seems that the realXtend client doesn't allow more than one instance of it at any given time. What I try to do is not just ask questions but put forward solutions as well. It would be useful to be able to get more than one log in to the system so I've come up with these ideas
1/ Create a Mojopack (www.mojopack.com) version of the browser that would create a separate virtual instance of the client on a pen drive and allow two log ins from the same physical machine. (It should work but it might need a separate Net 2.0 install and some creative thinking on accessing 127.0.0.1. I will give this a try and see if I can get it to work) 2/ Compile a special version of Realxstend that allows more than one instance of the REX client to run at one time. (ok, that's not going to happen today but worth a thought for those with a grasp of the code base!) 3/ Write a log in script tool that works like a lite version of the client that will create multiple log in tests for load bearing. (something like a light client that will show up as an avatar in world and perhaps access in world messenger communication . (this could be useful for multiple shadow logs ins to test load bearing on the server before opening it up to the world for log in!) In some ways it is a pity we can't get one of the other clients like Hippo or SL clones to even work partially with the Rex server. Out of the four other machines I have at home only one of them works with the client because of the ATI graphics card incompatibility issues. (Hippo and the SL client just work seamlessly with all my cards!) Worth a bit of thought!
