Hi There,

So far I have been working with a local server. But just recently I've
tried deploying a web realxtend server which is not connected to any
grid and serves stand alone...

I have an average DSL connection and modem(Airties RT-205TT). My modem
assigns internal ips like 192.168.0.2... etc for each of the machines
connected to it at the moment. In addition I am using dynamic ip for
now so each time I reset my modem my global ip changes. But I guess it
should not be a problem for now.

And my server uses TCP&UDP ports 9000,10000,10001 for OpenSim, Asset
and Authentication servers. In addition my 2 regions serve on 10101
and 10102 at the moment.

Anyway I'have read that in order to do external connections to a
server with such a configuration I need to configure my NAT so that
WAN ports 9000-10001 from global ip map to my LAN ports 9000-10001(on
192.168.0.2 for instance)... I did this configuration correctly
(referenced from the manual)as well.

However I still cannot connect to my server from a seperate pc having
adsl connection when I type the global ip and port number(9000) on my
login screen... Asset,OpenSim and Authentication logs do not even show
an attempt of connection.

I have downloaded a port scanner from the internet and tried to scan
for the open ports. On the same pc where my server is deployed I see
ports 9000-10001 shown as open however when I try to scan the global
ip of this pc from a seperate pc these ports are shown as closed.
However when I do the scan for the global ip from a seperate pc I see
port 80 is opened which is the html interface of my modem. So I can
externally connect my modem's interface.

Have anyone experienced similar problems? And what do you think this
problem relates to? My modem or RealXTend server. Can anyone help me
solve this issue?

Thanks a lot,

Best Regards,

Ates Akaydin
