Meanwhile I found rebols bug database and therein two open tickets about this issue (Jan and Dec 2004). Maybe I'm wrong, but I think this is easy to fix by implementing functions to set the browser and mail client paths in user.r. Or is linux compatibility not a main focus of rebol development?
