                                Lumpia

 1      tablespoon    oil
 2      cloves        garlic -- minced
 1      small         onion -- minced
   3/4  pound         ground pork or beef
                      salt and pepper -- to taste
 1      cup           string beans -- slivered
   1/2  package       bean sprouts
 1      small         carrot -- shredded
 1      package       lumpia wrappers
                      oil -- for frying
                      ***LUMPIA SAUCE***
   1/4  cup           soy sauce
   1/4  cup           vinegar
 2                    green onions -- chopped
 2      tablespoons   roasted sesame seeds
        dash          red pepper flakes
 2      cloves        garlic -- minced

Heat tablespoon of oil in sauce pan. Saute garlic and onion. Add ground meat,
salt and pepper. Brown well; drain off fat. Add vegetables and stir fry until
just tender. Drain and cool. Put 1-2 tablespoons of filling in center of lumpia
wrapper. Fold edges closest to you over filling. Tuck in two ends. Fold like an
envelope. Moisten edges with a little cornstarch mixed with water to seal. Heat
oil to 375-degrees and deep fry until browned. Combine sauce ingredients and
serve.
