Dave McElroy and I have both gotten some of these, so beware.
The one to
Dave even came with a phrase indicating that his ""partner" had
sent him a
greeting card. He thought he knew better, but asked me just in
case.

In short - This beastie is a spam e-mail that invites you to read
a greeting
card from a 'family member'. You go to the web site and one of
two bad
things happen - if you have scripting enabled - your computer is
attacked by
hostile script. If you have scripting disabled - then you are
provided a
link that you can click on and infect your computer.
There are a great many details in the news story about what the
actual
infections do (multi infector) and all that good stuff. Suffice
to say that
a properly secured system with scripting disabled will be
protected. That is
- of course - if you violate one of our cardinal rules - to THINK
before you
CLICK!!
So - give the story a read and update your AV and OS - OK?
