COCONUT FRUITCAKE
2 cups chopped nuts --- Pecans and Walnuts
1 ½ cups snipped Pitted Dates
1 cup candied Cherries
1 cup candied Pineapple
½ cup candied Orange peel
½ cup candied Lemon peel
2 cups sifted all-purpose White Lily Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon ground Allspice
½ teaspoon ground Nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground Cloves
1 cup Butter
½ cup Sugar
½ cup Honey
5 Eggs
1/3 cup Orange Juice
1 cup Raisins
1 1/3 cups flaked Coconut
--   Shake nuts, dates and candied fruits in ¼ cup of the flour.
  
-- Sift together the remaining flour, the salt, baking powder, and
spices.
  
-- Cream together the butter and the sugar.
  
-- Stir in the honey.
  
-- Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after adding each egg.
  
-- Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the
orange juice.
  
-- Stir in raisins and coconut.
  
-- Pour the batter over the floured candied fruit mixture.
  
-- Mix well.
  
-- Bake at 275 degrees for about 3 hours in a large loaf pan or 2 small
loaf pans.
