Christmas Noodle Trees

1/4 cup butter

1 - (10.5 ounce) package (6 cups)

   miniature marshmallows

3 tbsp peanut butter

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp green food color

1 - (6 ounce) pkg (4 cups) chow mein noodles

1 tbsp red cinnamon candies

8 small gumdrops, halved

Combine the butter and marshmallows in a 3-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat,
stirring constantly, until smooth, about 4 to 6 minutes. Stir in the peanut

butter, vanilla, and food color. Mix well. Add the noodles.. Quickly stir
until well coated. Place a large sheet of waxed paper onto the counter.

Lightly spray a tablespoon with no-stick cooking spray.. Drop heaping
tablespoonfuls of the mixture onto the waxed paper. Shape the mixture into
trees

with lightly greased gingers. Work quickly so the mixture does not harden.
Immediately decorate the trees with the candies using the cinnamon candies

for the ornaments and the gumdrop halves for the trunk. Let stand until firm
(about 30 minutes). Store in loosely covered container between sheets of

waxed paper.

Makes about 15 trees

But when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is
a light shining from within.
