I hav a strang feling when people talk about ancstors. I just don't relate to
it.
i am from britain. although I have family there and I remain intersted in
Britain. But it is only on part of whathas made me who I am now. It certainly
doesn't feel essential, nor do I have any special desire to investigate it.
this may change, i'm justtalking about now.
I'm not sure why this is but at the same timeI don't feel Australin, as someone
who came here in my mid twenties.
the strongest thing for me is being gay, and in that I feel a connection with
other gay people. even if I have no other connection and even if they're in
another country (and even if I loathe the individual). this is a special
'otsider' connection and I know other gay people (like aboriginal gay people)
have a different relationship with being gay.
anyway, that's anothr different perspctive on identity.

| I like what you say about your heritage and history,
