Kosovar Albanian refugees
ordered to leave

The remaining Kosovar Albanian refugees in
Adelaide have been shocked by a sudden Federal
Government order to leave the city first thing
tomorrow morning.

Two families, being housed at the Grace Lutheran
Church at Bridgewater in the Adelaide Hills, were
told last night that they must be on a bus to
Melbourne at 6:30am ACST tomorrow.

They will stay in Melbourne until a flight home on
Tuesday.

If they fail to do so they will lose the allowance the
Government had promised them.

Church chairman, Michael Schultz, says the
families had expected to stay in Adelaide until next
week and are devastated at the sudden harsh
treatment.

"This government that's welcomed them is
suddenly saying you must go three days early," Mr
Schultz said.

"No correspondence will be entered into, or you
forfeit your allowance."
