I have been asked to pass on this request for Event Marshalls from the people organising the Bridge Walk part of Corroboree 2000 on May 28th.The problem is that everyone wants to walk and they are having great difficulty finding enough people to control the walk. It is not a difficult job. Please respond directly to me asap, if you can possibly help. I will forward on names and contact details to the event organisers. (My sources suggest there will be a marshall leader briefing on Wed 17th may from 7pm at St Francis Xavier Church Hall, 20 Mackenzie Street, Lavendar Bay, but I have not confirmed this). Garry C ------------------------------------------------- CORROBOREE 2000 PUBLIC CELEBRATION � SUNDAY 28TH MAY 2000 MARSHALL REQUIREMENTS The walk is approximately 4.5 km long and each Marshall will be issued with a coloured vest (tbc) in order for the public to recognise them. The following is our current expectations of the marshalling roles: ? Water Station Managers �to be stationed at the three or more public drinking water stations along the walk ? Traffic Controllers �to ensure the flow of people movement along the bridge ? Crowd Controllers �to manage public in potential bottle neck areas, mainly at entrances and exits ? Information Officers � to be stationed at specific places to answer questions from the public ? Flyers �to hand out promotional flyers of the Sunday entertainment programme ? Entertainment Managers �to walk with the roving entertainment to ensure that they are OK; have water etc. ? North Sydney Train Station Officers �to direct crowds from the station ? Ticketing Assistants �to manage the ticketed stages of the walk ensuring crowds walk at certain times ? Walkers � to walk with each group to ensure crowd flow ? Donation Assistants �to assist in donation collection at the Toll Booths ? Concert Marshalls � to assist in various positions of concert production � backstage, ground transport, concert information We need to know the following information regarding the Marshalls: ? Age groups ? Where from ? Occupation ? Relevant experience ? Availability ?
