Surely they will realise the stupidity of the decision and retract it 
before its too late, but what a fine set of opportunities it 
provides! What is Arthur Tunstall doing these days? With a decision 
like this he can't be far away.

I like the idea of athletes of all nations refusing to perform 
without a Koori flag patch on their gear. Maybe groups of spectators 
could go dressed in colours which , when added together, make up the 
flag. There must be a million other possible responses. The campaign 
to get Sir William Deane (or even John Howard?) to wear a flag badge 
at the opening ceremony could begin right now!

Best of all was the comment that it contravenes a rule which prevents 
"non-participating countries" flags from being flown. Looks like 
Aboriginal nationhood has been recognised at last, at least by SOCOG! 
Does this also mean that Kathy Freeman et al aren't eligible to 
represent Australia?
