ABC News Mon, 21 Aug 2000 12:22 AEST Canberra joins Aboriginal peace march Canberra residents have joined a peace march supporting Aboriginal rights which is currently making its way to the tent embassy outside Old Parliament House. The march started more than 10 weeks ago in South Australia. Activists, church leaders and MLA Kerry Tucker are among those taking part in the march which is now making its way across the Commonwealth bridge. The group of more than 50 people is carrying secret fires of peace to the tent embassy where a ceremony will be held.
