Friends, I think that this is exactly the reason why the family would want to deny the political points scoring by Bourke. At least Howard was honest enough to stay away from the State Funeral Service, even if he did send his worst disciple. He says he is saddened that he could not be at the service and he had no wish to have Dr Perkin's death used to score political points.
