Fiona is no longer diseased! I cleaned her machine yesterday.
Of note is that at three other addresses I maintain, the same virus came in
dated friday/saturday. Fortunately, I summarily delete any and all
messages with attachments. Fiona was perhaps not so fortunate. I guess
that we are lucky that I run Pegasus as a mailer and not any Gates stuff
with a know directory tree and address book location, and I run two
different virus checker programmes (Innoculate IT and Nortons) on the one
network.
Fiona tells me that she has not posted anything to Recoznet in the life of
her membership to Recoznet, so she does not know how her "disease" escaped
from her machine? Given my experience at work with SnoWhite (HahHaHa), I
must wonder if we are the subject of an attack by some individual who is
opposed to our corporate position on Indigenous rights? Thus we must all
be EXTRA careful about our vulnerability by both; random viri attack, and
targetted attack?
