Sanity prevails!

One Wiradjuri warrior in particular comes to mind now, he has been very
physically sick directly via the stress and strain of just getting this
issue to everyone's attention. A passionate, sometimes misunderstood bloke,
whose personal sacrifice has resulted in this investigation!!! Wiradjuri
people owe him sincere gratitude, yet many will not learn of his sacrifice.
I am not at liberty to divulge his name.

Lake Cowal is sacred in our Wiradjuri heartland; and it would be kinda nice
if the government would stick up for us for a change, and tell the
gold-diggers to bugger off. We need TIME to re-connect not only with each
other, but also to re-connect with our ancestral sites. We NEED these sites
protected so we can heal our spirits, and then we will have better
spiritual, physical, mental and emotional health amongst our populations.

It seems every Koori I know is involved in some kind of critical battle to
stop disrespect of our culture, and our sacred lands. As one individual
falls ill under the strain and needs to retreat to rejuvenate - another
steps in, puts their own personal and family needs on hold, and takes
position on the battle line.

My heartfelt appreciation to the Mooka Traditional Owners'
Council...and...enourmous thanx to a damn brave Wiradjuri warrior who
sounded the first alarm (inviting the hatred of the Gold-diggers)!

Suze :)
