I think Red5 is a great project with a wide range of applicablility. In my case i intend to integrate it with PHPbb or VBulletin forumsoftware to create a multimedia board where you can post audio and video msg's  besides textmsg's.

It seems there are lots of different things people want to do with red5.
That's a good thing, but it does lead to the potential for mission and feature creep.
This is something the team is aware of, and we are discussing ways to handle it.

I was wondering wether the releasedate of 17 april still stands? And wether the bug of memory leaks is taken care of in version 0.4?

At the moment I think we are still on schedule for early next week. As for the memory leak I have not had time to monitor the server under any sort of load. The easter hols are coming up, so I imagine the team will be quite active over the weekend. Expect an update on our progress on monday. Bare in mind, 0.4 is hot out of the oven so to speak, and we wont be worrying about memory issues with the streaming as that will be our focus for 0.5.

I hope my questions ar not off-topic.

Nope, not at all.
