Wow...Sarah Allen...long time no chat! :-)

I seem to having a similar issue. I was able to get the oflaDemo.fla to
connect from Flash but my own app will not connect. :-(

I copied a few files over from the WEB-INF folder for the oflaDemo app:

red5-default.xml
log4j.properties
red5-web.properties

Then I just copied the web.xml file from the oflaDemo's WEB-INF folder
and changed the references to oflaDemo to my own app's name. I know
some of the other listener references are probably superfluous for my
app but I figured they can't hurt. Or can they? Hmm...

Still no luck. Hmmm....

Even though I am pretty sure I don't need to write and Java files for my
app since its just recording streams, I am wondering I should have
something in a classes and src directory too but just don't know what
yet.

So any pointers or stuff to read on this matter would be excellent.

BTW I am using the complete URL; rtmp://localhost/myAppName

Cheers,

Colin

Subject: [Red5] another noob question

So, I installed version 0.4 (nice easy install, thx) and the service
seems to be running. I've got a very basic OpenLaszlo app that works
with FMS, but when I shutdown FMS and start Red5, it doesn't connect.
I'm connecting to "rtmp:/test" and it seems like there is already an app

named "test" in the Red5 webapp directory, so I thought all would be
fine.

Is there a log file I can look at to see if Red5 is getting the
connection request and failing for some reason? And feel free to tell
me to go read something if I missed a document, this was a very
informative article:
http://www.joachim-bauch.de/tutorials/red5/HOWTO-NewApplications.txt

Thanks in advance,
Sarah
